Our thoughts,
Brethren, it can be the case that a preacher and his wife are "fired" from a local assembly because they chose to love the saints and defend the truth faithfully. Such a thing can happen a few times in one's work. We strive to grow the congregation, but those who are wayward and delinquent control the pulpit and refuse to allow for repentance, so we move on.
However, if a preacher and his wife have a recorded history of splitting every single church they've ever infiltrated, fired from those they couldn't entirely devour, leaving a trail of devastation and loss? Discord and hate? Hundreds of witnesses and accounts? They may convince spiritually weak brethren to believe it was all righteous while the victims are portrayed as monsters. But God is not fooled. Nor are the pure and humble.
Friends, the Devil knows how to preach a convincing sermon; he doesn't want you to question him, though. But the pure don't mind being questioned; we will stand in an honourable court and be heard; we have nothing to hide from.
To all faithful elders, it is wise to exercise diligence, thoroughly investigate, consult reputable sources, and learn to identify fraudulent individuals by their concealed characteristics. They may call themselves scholars and therapists, but their fruits reveal something quite sinister. It's easy to put on a smile when outside brethren visit, but does it reveal the history of the body? Look closely and bring the boat to deeper water.
We must learn to discern, through humble and ministering minds, that God will secure us in His faithful house, away from devils and their agenda to destroy.
Your servant,
SM
