”It is I; do not be afraid” (Sermon Sunday)

Away from Jesus, we frequently find ourselves in locations of potential danger, do we not? Certainly. Such is the spiritual warfare of our lives on this earth.   When we see Jesus through the inspired Words of the Holy Bible (the source of our salvation; 1 Pt. 1:23) for who He truly is (all-powerful and authoritative, Mt. 28:18-20), our call to change becomes apparent in our lives. And "repentance," the way we think and live, needing to change is frightening. We are creatures of habit, and when our location is away from God, we find comfort under a dragon's wing. Christ has come to redeem us from the debt we owe to the dragon, which is a concerning moment for us to think we must go away from the slavery of sinful practices and beliefs. Because if we choose to receive Jesus into our vessel, who knows what will happen? It is true we will lose relationships, perhaps employment, and our sinful practices, but the focus is not on what we lose but on what we gain; salvation, freedom, safety, a better way of life -- an eternal life. And what does it mean for you and me to receive Christ into our hearts this day? Jesus tells us it is when we surrender our lives to Him within the new birth, being born again out of the water and the spirit, added to His kingdom. And this Gospel, good news, is available to everyone poor in spirit, seeking salvation.   Please take the time to listen to the sermon session, and reach out if we can serve further in any way. Thank you.
