My thoughts...
My wife and I watched a documentary on mountain climbers, fascinating tales of adventure and beauty, recorded accounts of trial and sorrow, sacrifice and commitment, loss, and perseverance. This visual landscape made us think of our spiritual giants needing conquering. This earthly illustration certainly has faithful application.
Some men feel alive next to death. Others long to be found, swimming among the lost. We can journey all facets of the human expedition, only to finish short of the purpose.
What is the answer to life?
Christ, Christ is the answer we must seek (Mt. 7:7). No other stream can quench our thirst (Acts 4:12). He will guide us to the top, eternal life (Jn. 14:6).
How will these things be?
FOLLOW JESUS: Dear friends, is our focus on His Kingdom first and foremost? Then we shall have the necessities provided for us (Mt. 6:33). And if even the physical provisions of need are removed? We shall remain victorious as long as we have Jesus, the forgiveness of our sins (Rom. 3:23-24). For Christ, Christ is the answer we must seek (Mt. 7:7). No other stream can quench our thirst (Acts 4:12). He will guide us to the top, eternal life (Jn. 14:6). In Him, we have faith to "climb the mountain," whether persecution, health issues, financial challenges, loss of loved ones, or betrayal from those we thought closest to us, we can finish the race "because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." - John.
FELLOWSHIP THE FAITHFUL: Kind brethren remain near and dear to the humble among us, the faithful saints who have also been through trial and temptation. We must keep our social friendships with those who know the love of Jesus, proclaim the love of Jesus, and extend to others the love of Jesus (Jn. 13:34). Faithful servants will comfort and heal your heart for their discernment to side with the truth is solid and encouraging, “carrying each other’s burdens, and in this way fulfilling the law of Christ.” (Gal. 6:2).
Some traumas and wisdom are complicated to survive and understand, and “with man, this is impossible” to conquer through, “but with God all things are possible.” - Jesus.
Therefore; "This is the end of the matter; all hath been heard: Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man." - Solomon.
All glory to His Majesty the King.
Your servant,
