Our thoughts,
We must not raise our children in an abusive congregation filled with corrupt leadership and members, for either our youth will be devoured and become twice the vessels of hell (Mt. 23:15), or they will reach the age of independence and run far away from the name of Christ (Mt. 18:6).
Our children are attentive and seek our leadership. They observe our words and actions, judging our discernment between right and wrong (Mt. 12:41). May we guide these precious souls towards a church that belongs to Christ (Rom. 16:16), filled with the fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23), and not the agenda of tyrants (Rom. 16:17-18).
Years ago, we were taken advantage of, defrauded, mentally abused, and maliciously discarded. After that, the same "friends" and "family" covered their tracks by slandering the integrity of our work and character, a cabal of corruption bearing false witness and devouring a loyal followership against us through cunning lies, intimidation and flattery. It was the most devastating experience we had ever had to heal from; we struggled with hate, anger, bitterness, revenge, loss, uncertainty, doubt, anxiety, and retaliation against injustice.
But through the love of Christ, the evidence of truth, the guidance of His word, the discernment of our supporters, and the healing comfort of the EastCoast congregation, along with the numerous other witnesses who came forward and reached out with the same account, we managed to persevere and recognize the blessing of God, who withdrew us from some of the most divisive and toxic hypocrites revealed in Scripture (Rom. 16:17-18, Mt. 23, etc). We now live in peace with new faithful, pure, trustworthy, humble, and kind friends. We have repented of our regrets and flaws. We have been disciplined and educated. The storm's fury has passed, though not without the damage and scars, but through our fresh insight, we are hopeful for the future of the Gospel in this location. What is good will remain and what is evil will go away.
Dear saints, whatever trial and temptation you face, no matter how profound the devastation, don't ever give up, for tomorrow in Christ His Majesty is a better day to come. We understand. You are not alone.
Again, we must guard our children and the wellbeing of their physical, mental, and spiritual potential.
"count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." - James
