We play musical instruments in my house because it's my house and I say so. We genuinely love playing music; it feels special and uniting. But other places may have different laws; they might want something other than musical instruments in the house. And it would be foolish of me to impose my rules and liberties upon another man's home.
Who would randomly walk into his neighbor's living quarters and paint the walls without notice and instruction? Who am I to renovate another's room without permission? Our God has a house; it is His home, his bride, and all the faithful find spiritual blessing. I can't bring what He has not commanded into the church His Son bled to purchase. It's not hard to understand when we are humble and capable of growing. It's not about what we want but what He said. Would it not be reasonable to ponder the thought, if God created us in His image, then in His image pleased to have our hearts in song? Organic holds the warmth of life, and what is mechanical grows cold with rust. Are we seeking to be entertained, praised, and exalted? Or are we broken, heavyhearted, needing His love and mercy?
One day, we all must face the Great I AM independent. The coming Day of our Lord will reveal if we have followed man or Christ. And so, "choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served in the region beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."
"Give Me The Bible, Holy Message Shining; Thy Light Shall Guide Me In The Narrow Way; Precept And Promise, Law And Love Combining, Till Night Shall Vanish In Eternal Day."
"Thy word is truth."
Your servant,
